Jean is a documentary cinematographer with five years’ experience working in London, UK, and is now based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
He has DP’d projects for producers with clients including CNA (Channel NewsAsia), EFTA (European Free Trade Association), AIA, CIMB, British Council, UEM Sunrise, Zurich Insurance, National Geographic CreativeWorks, Adidas, Acer, Faber-Castell, Thai Tourism, 50 Best, Specialized Bicycle Components, Monin syrups and many more.
He has been active across Southeast Asia, shooting documentaries alongside producers, presenters, and crews from both regional and global backgrounds. Jean is equally comfortable working solo with a one or two-camera setup, and brings a stylistic approach to lighting. He’s camera-agnostic but currently shoots on and owns Sony gear.
Jean also founded Greenhouse Pictures, a local production company focused on corporate films and branded content.
A native English speaker, he also speaks some Mandarin and Malay.
